My Script

Here's my current script. I'm making sure it will fit in time with my animatic, but let me know if anyone thinks it's too much info. It should definitely teach you something!

I do think it needs editing -- its a good first draft. Some of the ideas can be simplified/condensed. Once you have a sense of how long each shot will be, i would storyboard it so that each shot is layed out with the text you want to accompany it. Then its all about editing the little elements and finding out what segment works, what is too much, and what needs more.

This probably won't help at all, but if you're looking for comedy reference, there's a scene in the movie Airplane!, were Leslie Nielson, playing a doctor, narrates the symptoms of the sickness that the passengers on the airplane are suffering, while all the audience sees Peter Graves, the captain, going through all the symptoms very rapidly.

The Leslie Nielson dialogue is very dry and authoritative, and it's the acting that gives the scene its comedy.

So if you need a break from all the I Shouldn't Be Alives, and you want a little more comedy, Airplane!
