Progress...
So I've gotten together all of the information I want to use for my "Scientific Screens". I've decided to make them pretty simple, something an average viewer can read and comprehend in 5-7 seconds on screen. I'm also gathering sound effects for all of my shots in my animatic. I have two questions that I'd like to poll you guys on...#1: Is it that big of a deal if my camper is a guy or a girl? My younger sister loves posing for pictures and she'd probably be the easiest for me to use for at least my animatic, but my storyboards featured a male. Big deal or no? #2: Does anyone have any ideas for a "Jaws like" music sequence I can use whenever the spider enters the frame? Let me know! Thanks:-)

Sounds like you're making good progress. Hmm.. girl or guy... I'm not sure that would make as much of a difference as having it be a young kid - how old is your sister? my instinct says its funnier if its a guy -- but you never know till you see it. Music - check out soundtracks on 'suspense' films, a good place to start. There may be some comic weight to making it music we know or reminiscent of it - like the 'Psycho' theme etc.
I'm thinking the only difference would be timing of how long the poison takes to begin affecting the person etc, due to body weight, physiology, etc. Other than that, doesn't seem to be a problem of whether you choose a guy or a girl or not. Also possibly look into getting someone to do a voice-over to read the screens that come up.
Nicky, As for the first question I'm for the guy, I think it's more funny to have a guy being bite by the spider and all sick and dying, plus it's more funny at the end with the bear coming and scaring him. As for the music, the jaws kind of music will be fun to play with but also make sure to use sounds effects as well to really get the feeling across to the audiance. To end, it sounds like that you really are im control of the project and have ever thing pretty under control thats a good place to be..
-Best Tom..
